Membership of the National Information Clinical Leadership Group

The National Information Clinical Leadership Group is planned to be a long-term group, thus ensuring a consistent approach for the health sector. The Group is able to either co-opt new members or form sub-groups as required. Professional groups were approached for nominations, and representation sought where gaps were identified.

Peter Gow, rheumatologist and associate professor at Counties Manukau District Health Board is Chair of the National Information Clinical Leadership Group. Dr Jim Vause, a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners is Deputy Chair.   

Amanda Ashcroft is the main point of contact for the National Information Clinical Leadership Group. She can be contacted via email Amanda_Ashcroft@moh.govt.nz

Criteria for core membership

  1. nominated - representative of an established professional body/group
  2. recommended - representative of a clinical area/specialty field as recommended by the wider group (not included in (1) above).

Criteria for additional membership

  1. Expert - an expert co-opted at the recommendation of the wider group
  2. Interested - a clinician with interest (not nominated by professional group/body)
  3. Guest - invited to inform discussion/present.
